American electric luxury car manufacturer Lucid Motors has announced the pricing for its second model, the Gravity, set to join the luxury electric SUV segment with a competitive MSRP of around $94,900 for the upscale Grand Touring variant.
The Gravity is designed to be the best SUV ever, boasting a combination of luxury, high performance, extensive range, flexible passenger capacity, and large cargo volume.
Powering the Gravity are two electric motors, delivering a staggering 828 horsepower and 909 lb-ft of torque, propelling the SUV from 0 to 60 mph in an impressive 3.4 seconds. Despite its size, the Gravity handles with agility and comfort, offering a smooth ride quality and blending practicality with sporty dynamics.
The Gravity's three-chamber air suspension system allows for adjustable ground clearance, ranging from 5.2 inches (sport mode) to 9.3 inches (highest setting), ensuring a comfortable ride in various driving conditions.
Equipped with a 123 kWh high-voltage battery and a 900-volt architecture, the Gravity offers an estimated EPA combined range of between 386 to 450 miles, depending on the configuration. Fast charging is supported up to 400 kW DC, enabling rapid replenishment.
The Gravity is available in both five- and seven-seat configurations, offering up to 3,400 liters of cargo space. The interior cargo space totals about 120 cubic feet (3,398 liters), or 114.3 cubic feet (3,236 liters) behind the first row, including the front trunk (“frunk”), providing generous storage for a luxury SUV.
Lucid's luxury refinements are evident in the Gravity, with a well-isolated cabin, advanced driver assistance features, and a high-end infotainment system (Lucid UX 3.0) with dual touchscreens. Comfort amenities such as adaptive cruise control, heated/cooled seats, power liftgate, and keyless start/entry are also included.
Initial orders for the Gravity Grand Touring will be accepted, with production starting before the end of the year and sales starting in November in the US. The Gravity Touring model is scheduled to start production by the end of 2025.
The Gravity will be available outside the US, with pricing and ordering details to be announced later. Tow and terrain driving modes are expected to be available, enhancing its utility and off-road capability, though it is not designed as a hardcore off-roader.
The Gravity Grand Touring is expected to achieve more than 440 miles (over 700 km) on a single charge according to the realistic US EPA standard.
