Xiaomi Unveils Omni QLED Series, Amazon Refreshes Fire TV Range
Xiaomi has unveiled the new Omni QLED Series, boasting enhanced features and improved performance. The series starts at £699 for a 50-inch display in the UK. Meanwhile, Amazon has refreshed its Fire TV range, replacing Xiaomi's offering with a revamped model.
The new Omni QLED Series from Xiaomi offers a significant upgrade with double the number of local dimming-zones. It also introduces dynamic Interactive Art and automatic colour adjustment based on room lighting. The series is 60% brighter than its predecessor.
Amazon's refreshed Fire TV range includes redesigned 2-Series and 4-Series models with ultra-thin bezels and a new quad-core processor. The new models are 40% faster than their predecessors, thanks to the upgraded processor. Key features like Dolby Vision, HDR10+ Adaptive support, and OmniSense technology have been retained.
The new Omni QLED Series from Xiaomi will be available in sizes from 50 inches to 65 inches, starting at $480 / £650. The 2-Series starts at $160 / £250 and the 4-Series begins at $330 / £430, with sizes ranging from 32 inches to 55 inches. Amazon's refreshed Fire TV range offers improved performance and design, replacing Xiaomi's previous offering.
