VinFast Partners with Castrol India for Enhanced EV After-Sales Care in India
VinFast, the Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has partnered with Castrol India to enhance after-sales care for its customers in India. This collaboration, marked by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to bolster customer confidence in the brand's commitment to quality and convenience.
VinFast has launched its first overseas assembly facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, with an initial capacity of 50,000 vehicles annually, scalable to 150,000 units. The company plans to establish 35 dealerships across 27 cities in India by the end of 2025, alongside local production.
As part of this strategic alliance, Castrol India will provide selected Castrol Auto Service (CAS) workshops for VinFast customers. These workshops will feature dedicated VinFast-branded service bays and certified EV technicians. VinFast will provide service manuals, diagnostic tools, training, and warranty coverage processes, while Castrol will ensure workshops meet infrastructure and capability standards.
Mr. Rajeev Govil, Senior Vice President, India B2B, Castrol India, emphasizes the role of after-sales service in building customer confidence for electric mobility growth in India. Mr. Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, sees India as a long-term commitment for building an inclusive EV ecosystem with reliable after-sales care.
Through this collaboration, VinFast and Castrol aim to raise service standards through advanced diagnostics, genuine parts, and digital-first support solutions, supporting India's transition to sustainable mobility. VinFast's extensive footprint, combined with Castrol's expertise, will enable broad and convenient after-sales care, further strengthening customer confidence in the brand.
