V-Color Unveils New OC RDIMM DDR5 Products for AMD Threadripper Pro 9000 WX-series
V-Color, a renowned memory manufacturer, has announced the launch of a new line of OC RDIMM DDR5 products, designed specifically for the new AMD Threadripper Pro 9000 WX-series CPU family. The release of these new products coincides with the launch of the new AMD Threadripper Pro 9000 WX-series.
The new OC RDIMMs offer registered DIMMs up to 256GB in capacity, making them ideal for high-performance computing tasks. The WRX90 chipset, which exclusively supports Pro 9000 chips, offers up to 2TB of DDR5-6400 RDIMMs across eight channels, while the TRX50 platform supports both Pro and upcoming HEDT chips, offering DDR5-6400 RDIMMs at up to 1TB in four channels.
The largest RAM sticks can still reach 6400 MT/s, and top speeds of the new RAM products reach up to 8200 MT/s in smaller capacity DIMMs. RGB models of the new RAM products are available in the 16GB to 64GB range.
Kits of the new RAM have been tested to support up to 2TB of memory in a single system. The new products have undergone rigorous validation for thermal stability, signal integrity, and efficiency in high-capacity deployments.
While specific prices for V-Color's OC RDIMM line are not yet known, a similar 2TB eight-channel kit of LRDIMMs from NEMIX is currently selling for $11,599 on Newegg Business. Given this, V-Color's 2TB OC RDIMM kit will likely be in a comparable high-end price range, potentially competitive or slightly premium due to their focus on overclocking capability and performance tuning.
The exact pricing of V-Color's new OC RDIMM DDR5 products remains undisclosed, but it is reasonable to infer their price range will be near or above $11,000 for the full 2TB eight-channel kit, positioning it alongside existing enterprise-grade DDR5 RDIMM solutions like NEMIX's.
The release of V-Color's OC RDIMM line is expected as soon as Q3 2025. The line will come in modules and kits of 16GB, 24GB, 32GB, 48GB, 64GB, 96GB, 128GB, and 256GB when it releases.
