Update Introduces Replacement of Spiders with Orbs in Avowed's Initial Major Revision This Year

Revamped RPG, Avowed, sticks to the traditional enemy formula and swarms players with spiders – not ideal for arachnophobes. But fear not, with the latest patch, those spiders can now resemble less terrifying floating orbs!

Update 1.4 marks the beginning of numerous patches scheduled for the year. In a recent blog post, Obsidian shared a comprehensive roadmap detailing upcoming content.

anticipate several helpful additions such as cooking and crafting enhancements, expanded NPC interactions, fresh abilities, unique weapons, and armor. There's even a new game + mode and a photo mode to capture your epic moments!

The current update also packs a punch with features like mouse and keyboard support on Xbox, increased gold and crafting materials, and gear adjustments.

If you've been engrossed in Monster Hunter Wilds since its release, updates like a setting to show treasure chests on the map or the ability to idle at camp may pique your interest. For more details on all the changes, head over to the forums.

Regrettably, the witty spellcasting tutorial initially planned for the game won't make a comeback. Obsidian Entertainment's region director hinted at it featuring a pyromancer accidentally blowing himself up on a cliff, reminiscent of the wood elf falling from the sky in The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind. While we're treated to a photo mode and more Godlike character features, a humorous spellcasting tutorial would have added an extra dose of fun.
