London-based Space Visionaries, or simply "Sen," endeavors to bring space exploration closer to the common folk, granting a typically astronaut-exclusive experience to the rest of us earthbound creatures. It's live, round-the-clock Earth viewing from our site.

The Overview Effect is a fascinating phenomenon experienced by some fortunate enough to escape our planet's gravity well, characterized by a profound shift in perspective towards our home planet and humanity. Apollo 14 astronaut Ed Mitchell described it as "a global consciousness awakening," accompanied by an "unshakable dissatisfaction with the world's condition and an unquenchable urge to make a difference."

Earth from the Heavens

Satellite Vision One (SV-1)

In March 2024, Sen dispatched three Ultra High Definition 4k cameras to the International Space Station (ISS) via SpaceX's CRS-30 cargo mission. Nicknamed SV-1, these cameras were mounted on the Bartolomeo platform on the European Space Agency's (ESA) Columbus module to deliver three unique perspectives of Earth and the ISS.

One camera captures the long arch of Earth's horizon, with the setting and rising sun adding a dynamic element as the ISS completes an orbit every 90 minutes. Another focuses on Earth below, showcasing a 155-mile (250-kilometer) expanse. The third camera targets the ISS's forward docking port, connected to the Harmony module, and any spacecraft docked there.
