In the Mountainous District of Yakutia, residents of three remote villages - Byas-Kueele, Kyurelyakh, and Keptin - now enjoy extensive high-speed mobile internet coverage, thanks to MegaFon's new fourth-generation base stations. Previously underserved communities, these settlements are now well-connected with swift internet speeds, stable voice calls, and the ability to link multiple devices.

Engineers installed modern base stations utilizing low and mid-frequency layers of 4G technology, ensuring seamless connectivity. With this upgrade, villagers can engage efficiently with loved ones, make video calls, and quickly download digital content, including large files and high-resolution movies. Education and work opportunities at home are now more accessible, and the digital divide between these areas and urban centers appears to be shrinking.

Notably, MegaFon has also increased coverage in Maragase by adding additional 4G equipment, contributing to improved connection quality in that settlement. These villages, connected by the "Vilyui," "Kobyai," and "Orto-Suruut-Keptin" roads, now offer drivers and passengers more reliable communication with their families, real-time route guidance, and seamless access to social media platforms.

Maria Mamayeva, director of MegaFon in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), commented, "We are actively developing digital networks in Yakutia, addressing the increasing demand for modern mobile communication and rapid 4G internet, even in small settlements." This expansion project presents several advantages for remote communities: fostering digital inclusion, bridging the gap in healthcare and education, and facilitating e-commerce and remote services.

Looking ahead, MegaFon's continued investment in network upgrades could lead to the rollout of 5G services, enabling advanced applications like smart agriculture and energy management. Furthermore, collaborations with local governments and organizations could lead to tailored digital solutions, such as digital literacy programs and agricultural support services, optimized for rural communities. Infrastructure developments spurred on by improved telecommunications could also support growth in related sectors, such as renewable energy and transportation. Overall, the expansion of MegaFon's 4G network in the Mountainous District of Yakutia paves the way for improved connectivity and enhanced quality of life in remote areas.
