The Economist Launches 'The Insider', a Premium Podcast Service

The Economist is set to debut 'The Insider', a premium video and podcast service offering subscribers exclusive access to leading editors' insights on news and trends. This move aligns with several major publishing brands expanding their podcast offerings as part of core content strategies.

Alex Wagner is joining Crooked Media to host 'Visceral', a weekly podcast delving into life under the Trump administration. Wagner will also contribute regularly to 'Pod Save America' and Crooked Media's YouTube videos. Meanwhile, MSNBC is launching a new season of Jen Psaki's podcast 'The Blueprint', focusing on President Trump's second term.

'The Insider' will feature weekly shows hosted by senior editors, covering defence, geopolitics, economics, and tech. Insider members can participate in Q&A shows and receive a dedicated email newsletter. The Verge is also launching a new podcast, 'Version History', exploring the history and legacy of past tech products.

The Insider, set to launch soon, promises subscribers unique perspectives from senior editors at The Economist. Alongside this, Crooked Media welcomes Alex Wagner for 'Visceral', and MSNBC brings back Jen Psaki's 'The Blueprint'. The Verge's 'Version History' adds to the growing list of tech-focused podcasts.
