JooJoo's journey has come to an end

The company JooJoo has apparently reached its end.

Fusion Garage, the company behind the JooJoo tablet, is making a comeback in the tablet market with the announcement of 2-3 new Android-based devices. The new tablets, which are expected to launch by the first quarter of 2011, will be in the sub 12 inch category.

Unlike the JooJoo, which faced a challenging retail scene, the new tablets will have their own storage units and access to the Android Market. This is a significant improvement, as the JooJoo relied on the cloud for storage and did not have access to the Android Market.

The new tablets will run on some form of Android, providing users with a familiar and user-friendly interface. The specific version of Android has not been disclosed yet.

Fusion Garage's CEO, Chandrashekar Rathakrishnan, refuted rumours of the JooJoo going off production in October, but the company later announced the discontinuation of the JooJoo tablet. The reasons for this decision are not clear, but it's believed that the tablet's poor market reception, legal disputes, and the competitive landscape dominated by other tablets like the iPad around its release time played a significant role.

Despite these challenges, Fusion Garage has recently closed a new round of investment amounting to $3M USD. This investment will undoubtedly help the company in the development and launch of its new tablets.

As for the name of the new tablets, it remains a mystery for now. However, with the upcoming launch, tablet enthusiasts can look forward to seeing what Fusion Garage has in store for the future of the tablet market.

The new tablets from Fusion Garage, which will be released by the first quarter of 2011, will have their own storage units and access to the Android Market, departing from the cloud-reliant JooJoo's storage system and lack of access to the Android Market. In contrast to the JooJoo, these new gadgets will run on some form of Android, offering users a familiar and user-friendly interface as advanced technology continues to evolve.
