Tesla initiates groundwork on third Supercharger station in Canmore, Alberta
Tesla has begun construction on a new Supercharger station in Canmore, Alberta, located at the Canmore Gateway Shoppes on 802 Bow Valley Trail [1][2]. This new station is the third Supercharger in Canmore, adding to two existing stations within a 2km stretch of Bow Valley Trail (one with 8 stalls and another with 4 stalls) [1].
The station, which will have 12 V4 Supercharger stalls, is nearly fully built out, with 12 Supercharger posts installed [1][2]. However, the site still needs repaving before it can open for use.
The location of the new Supercharger station at the rear of the parking lot is expected to help prevent the issue of ICE (internal combustion engine) vehicles blocking charging stalls, a problem experienced at some other Canmore Tesla Superchargers [1].
