Data services emerged as the primary revenue generator, driving strong service revenue growth. The data revenue for MTN Ghana increased by 50.8% to 6 billion cedis for the first half of 2025.

Recognising Employee Efforts
The success of MTN Ghana is attributed to "strong commercial momentum and execution" by the company's CEO, Stephen Blewett. He praised the dedication of MTN Ghana's workforce for the stellar performance. According to Blewett, the results would not be possible without the unwavering dedication and hard work of MTN Ghana's employees.
Interim Dividend and Stock Performance
MTN Ghana declared an interim dividend of 0.08 cedis per share, up from 0.065 cedis in the same period last year. The announcement of the interim dividend fueled a rally in the company's stock, which hit an all-time high of 3.55 cedis on the Ghana Stock Exchange.
Contributing Factors
The surge in profit was driven by robust growth in MTN Ghana's data, mobile money, and voice services. The improving economic conditions in Ghana, with inflation dropping to 13.7% in June and the cedi strengthening against the U.S. dollar, may have contributed to MTN Ghana's success.
