Swiss Army Bolsters Drone Defense with New Task Force

Swiss Army officials are taking drone threats seriously. They've established a drone task force, led by Dr. Thomas Rothacher, to bolster defense against mysterious drone sightings across Europe. The task force is headed by Dr. Thomas Rothacher, the person in charge of the Swiss Army's Drone Task Force.

Expert Ivo Capaul advises using a range of drone defense systems due to varying drone sizes and flight characteristics. The army plans to develop its own drone capability and maintain specialized personnel to effectively strengthen drone defense. Armasuisse, the drone and robotics center of the Federal Office of Defense, is driving this initiative.

The Swiss army aims to acquire a defense system against micro and mini drones as soon as possible. They've announced plans to fortify drone defense for military infrastructure. A drone task force has been set up to scrutinize the specifications and capabilities needed for a drone defense system. Capaul warns that the swift pace of drone innovation could make a defense system obsolete before it's even deployed.

The Swiss Army is actively working to enhance its drone defense capabilities. With a dedicated task force and plans to develop its own drone capability, the army is taking steps to protect its infrastructure. However, the rapid innovation in drone technology presents a challenge that the army is aware of and prepared to address.
