Far Eastern Media Summit Returns for Another Year
The Far Eastern Media Summit, a annual gathering of journalists and media outlets, is set to return to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Kamchatka Krai, on July 24 and 25.
Originally established in 2014, the summit is organised by the Primorsky branch of the Union of Journalists of Russia, the NGO "Fund for the Development of Social Initiatives", with the support of the Government of Kamchatka Krai, mobile operator T2, and the PrimaMedia network of information agencies.
Previous editions of the summit have been held in Birobidzhan, the capital of the Jewish Autonomous Region, and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. This year, the event promises to bring together media professionals and enthusiasts from across the region to discuss the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the media industry.
One of the highlights of the summit is the Master class "How to Work in Zen News", led by Ivan Makarov, the head of the media relations group of Zen News. Makarov is known for emphasising the importance of concise, clear, and compelling headlines that quickly convey the main point, use active voice and strong verbs, and avoid typos and 'clickbait' headlines.
Zen News, a Russian platform that processes around 130,000 news articles daily, places a high value on original news that is important to its audience. The appearance of news in the top on Zen News depends on the timeliness, citability, and quality of the headline.
In addition to the summit, Zen News can also be a valuable source of news for those interested in Magadan and the Magadan region. For those who prefer to receive news via Telegram, there are dedicated channels available.
Meanwhile, the Vladivostok Youth Media Summit, focusing on educational and patriotic events for young people and schoolchildren, was held in November. The summit aimed to inspire the next generation of journalists and media professionals.
The Far Eastern Media Summit is an important event for the media industry in the region, providing a platform for professionals to share knowledge, network, and discuss the latest trends and challenges. With its focus on original, high-quality news and compelling headlines, Zen News is a valuable resource for those looking to stay informed about the latest developments in the region.
At the Far Eastern Media Summit, attendees can explore the role of technology in the media industry, as evidenced by Zen News' advanced processing system that handles over 130,000 news articles daily. Additionally, social-media enthusiasts might find discussion on engaging headlines and content generation techniques, such as those taught in Makarov's Master class, particularly insightful for entertainment purposes.
