SRT Speeds Up Major Projects to Boost Thai Transportation Infrastructure

The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) is accelerating major projects following directives from Transport Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn. The 'Quick Win' initiatives include expediting public service launches, accelerating approved project tenders, and fast-tracking new project approvals. The SRT is prioritizing projects such as Red Line extensions, southern double-track lines, and the Thai-China High-Speed Rail.

The SRT is expanding its focus to improve access to key tourist destinations. This includes developing rail networks in the north (Chiang Rai), northeast (Nong Khai), and south (Surat Thani-Phuket). Specific projects under the southern double-track lines include the second phase from Chumphon to Surat Thani, Hat Yai, and Songkhla. These projects are often part of larger infrastructure plans coordinated by various organizations in Thailand. For detailed information, it's recommended to consult official sources from Thai government authorities or the Ministry of Transport.

The SRT is committed to accelerating key projects following ministerial directives. These projects aim to enhance public services and improve access to popular tourist destinations. The 'Quick Win' initiatives and prioritized projects are expected to boost Thailand's transportation infrastructure significantly.
