Tesla Model Y Juniper Refresh Set for Spring 2025 Debut in Germany

Tesla has announced that the much-anticipated refresh of the Model Y, internally code-named Juniper, will be available for orders in Germany starting from early 2025, with deliveries commencing in March. The exact end date for the sales period is yet to be specified.

This refresh marks the first substantial update for the Model Y since its initial release in 2020. Following a similar design path as the facelifted Model 3 that was released in 2023, the Model Y Juniper will feature visual updates including an updated front and rear end design, a new split headlight design, and new wheel designs.

The interior of the refreshed Model Y will receive a significant upgrade. Ambient lighting, cooled front seats, heated seats front and rear, and a new 8.0-inch rear display for climate and entertainment functions are some of the new features. The interior will also feature upgraded materials for a more premium feel.

The Model Y's suspension is expected to undergo revisions in tuning and updated parts, similar to the Model 3's Highland refresh, for a more comfortable and controlled ride. The new touchscreen in the Model Y's refresh will house all vehicle controls, replacing the current dashboard layout. The overall dashboard design will carry over, with a new, larger 15.4-inch touchscreen replacing the current 15.0-inch unit.

Acoustic glass, similar to the Model 3 Highland, will be included for reduced road and wind noise. An available 17-speaker audio system with two subwoofers and two amplifiers will also be offered. Notably, the Model Y's stalks, including the gear selector and turn signal stalk, will likely be removed, aligning with the Model 3's design.

The Model Y will continue to be available with single-motor rear-wheel-drive Long Range, dual-motor all-wheel-drive Long Range, and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive Performance powertrains. Tesla has not disclosed the power output, but 0-60 mph times for the current Model Y range from 6.5 to 3.5 seconds.

The Model Y Juniper refresh is expected to be released for sale in the spring of 2025, marking a significant milestone for Tesla's SUV lineup. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the launch date.
