Siemens Unveils Next-Gen EV Charging System for Heavy-Duty Vehicles
Siemens has introduced its next-generation electric vehicle (EV) charger, the SICHARGE FLEX, at Busworld in Brussels. This innovative charger is designed to be fully adaptable, modular, scalable, and versatile, supporting rapid charging of large EVs like heavy-duty trucks and buses.
The SICHARGE FLEX, developed by Siemens, offers power options ranging from 480 kW to over 1.68 megawatt, with precise increments of 80/120 kW. It delivers up to 1,500 A of charging current, enabling rapid charging of large EVs. The charger provides high-capacity charging, up to 656 kW/m2, and utilizes a front-in front-out cooling system for wall placement.
The new charger can support up to 4 MCS charge points within a single system, making it highly adaptable and scalable. This launch marks a significant milestone in Siemens' journey to build a comprehensive and sustainable E-Mobility ecosystem.
The SICHARGE FLEX, launched at Busworld in Brussels, is Siemens' latest innovation in electric vehicle charging. With its high power output, adaptability, and scalability, it is set to revolutionize the charging infrastructure for heavy-duty EVs, contributing to a more sustainable future.
