Siemens unveils new site location

In a significant move, Siemens AG has relocated its Mannheim branch to a new, climate-efficient location in Neuostheim, as part of the Connect4 real estate project. The company, which has been a fixture in Mannheim since 1891, is the anchor tenant of the project, occupying approximately 9,800 square meters of office space.

The Connect4 project, developed by Adler Immobilien Investment from Viernheim, boasts a number of eco-friendly features. It includes themed gardens and green areas on a plot of around 9,900 square meters, and the roof and vertical surfaces are adorned with greenery. The project also offers 286 parking spaces equipped with electric charging stations.

Siemens AG's move from its previous location at Dynamostrasse involved around 600 employees. The new branch will continue to serve customers throughout the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, selling products, systems, solutions, and services from Digital Industries (automation, drive technology, digitalization) and Smart Infrastructure (building automation, safety and installation technology).

The economic development office in Mannheim played a crucial role in marketing the site for the new Siemens branch to the project developer Adler. They have been supporting Siemens AG for years as part of regular company care. The location of the new branch in Neuostheim had to be coordinated with all parties involved in the flight path and approach corridor of Mannheim-Neuostheim airport.

Two other companies have already rented space in the remaining area of the Connect4 project. Siemens AG operates more than 50 production and technology sites in Germany, and the Mannheim branch is a testament to the company's commitment to the economic location of Mannheim in the field of education and training.

The first line of the electric tram went into operation in Mannheim in 1901, based on the first electric tram constructed by Siemens in 1881. Today, the Siemens Mannheim branch continues to contribute to the city's modern transportation infrastructure, providing innovative solutions for a sustainable future.
