Samsung's New Exynos 2500 Chip Set to Power Galaxy Z Flip 7

Samsung has recently introduced the Exynos 2500, a powerful system-on-a-chip that's set to make waves in the global tech market. Rumours suggest it will debut in the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7, marking a shift from Samsung's previous strategy.

The Exynos 2500 is built on a cutting-edge 3nm Gate-All-Around (GAA) process node, ensuring high performance and energy efficiency. Its CPU configuration is a 1+(2+5)+2 setup, featuring a Cortex-X5 core clocked at 3.3GHz. This, coupled with the Samsung Xclipse 950 GPU, promises exceptional processing power and graphics performance.

The new SoC supports the latest technologies, including LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. It also boasts a powerful NPU, capable of performing up to 59 trillion operations per second, enhancing on-device AI capabilities by 39%. The Exynos 5400 modem ensures 5G connectivity with mmWave support and peak download speeds of up to 12.1 Gbps. Additionally, the ISP supports camera sensors up to 320 megapixels and 8K video recording at 30fps.

If the rumours are true, the Exynos 2500 will power the global versions of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, marking a departure from Samsung's previous use of the same Snapdragon SoC for both flip and fold flagship devices. With its advanced features and powerful performance, the Exynos 2500 is poised to set a new standard in mobile technology.
