Samsung's latest Galaxy devices may be in line for an Android 16 beta release, according to leaked schedules.

Samsung is set to launch the One UI 8 beta based on Android 16 for several Galaxy devices, marking a commitment to timely updates and beta rollouts. The company has announced that the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 series will gain access to Android 16's beta pool starting from August and September 2025, respectively.

The Galaxy S24 series, along with the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, will have the One UI 8 beta available from August 2025. On the other hand, the Galaxy S23 series, including the S23 FE, S23 Plus, S23 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Z Fold5, and mid-range A-series models like A35, A36, A54, A55 will join the beta programme in September 2025.

At present, the beta program is limited to India, UK, and US for the S24, Z Fold6, and Z Flip6. Regional details for other devices are yet to be confirmed. The stable One UI 8 release for the Galaxy S25 series is planned for September 2025, with other models to receive updates thereafter.

Samsung's decision to limit the beta programme to two Galaxy S series may be a departure from its previous approach to launching new software. The company has historically been known for releasing significant OS updates along with the launch of its flagship Galaxy S lineup.

This news comes via a leak by @tarunvats33 on Twitter/X, adding credibility to the claims. Samsung is also reportedly considering using Qi2 magnets in its future Galaxy devices, favouring devices with more robust charging capabilities over thin phones.

As always, it's important to remember that software plans can change, and the timeline for One UI 8's rollout may shift. However, Samsung's commitment to providing timely updates and beta access for its devices is a positive sign for users looking forward to the Android 16 update.
