Samsung TVs receive an updates enhancing their ability to locate and stream shows more efficiently
Samsung TV Plus, the free-to-watch, ad-supported streaming service, has unveiled a redesign for the US market. The revamped platform offers a sleeker, more intuitive design, AI-powered recommendations, and a personalized home screen, all aimed at improving discovery and entertainment on Samsung’s free ad-supported streaming platform.
The redesign features a simpler layout and a personalized homepage layout using AI. This adaptation learns from user preferences, adapting to provide the most relevant content. The AI system in Samsung's 2025 TV range, known as Samsung's Vision AI, is used not only for personalizing the viewing experience but also for picture processing enhancements in real-time.
The personalized homepage will be built around users' favorites and what they watch, reducing the need for excessive scrolling. The new design also includes a live events spotlight for sports, concerts, and breaking news, making finding shows easier and improving the overall user experience.
In addition to the UI overhaul, Samsung TV Plus has expanded its content offerings. US users now have access to two new channels—The Martha Stewart Channel and The Emeril Lagasse Channel—and ten new movies such as All Eyez On Me, I Feel Pretty, and Tyler Perry's Good Deeds, added in August 2025.
Samsung TV Plus has also partnered with popular digital creators like Mark Rober, Dhar Mann, Michelle Khare, Smosh, and The Try Guys to launch exclusive channels that bring their content to the big screen for the first time.
Samsung TV Plus is not limited to Samsung TVs. It is also available on some Galaxy mobile devices, Samsung Smart Monitor, and the Family Hub. The service is compatible with smart TVs from 2017 onwards, making it accessible to a wide range of users.
Samsung TV Plus remains a free service, with ad support being the reason for its free access. As the most-used streaming app on Samsung's smart TVs, the redesign is set to further solidify its position as a go-to platform for free, personalized entertainment.
With the redesign, Samsung TV Plus introduces AI-powered personalization to enhance user experience, offering a homepage tailored to individual preferences and viewing habits. This revamped platform also features a live events spotlight, improved content selection, and collaborations with digital creators, such as Mark Rober and Dhar Mann, to bring exclusive content to a wider audience.
