No need to have an Ok.ru profile to express your gratitude. Just download the app and lay virtual flowers at renowned memorials honoring those who fought on May 9th. These iconic monuments include the Moscow Victory Monument, the 'Motherland Calls!' memorial in Volgograd, the Soviet Soldier Memorial near Rzhev, the Heroic Defenders of Tula Memorial, and Brest Fortress in Belarus.
But that's not all! The app tells captivating audio stories about each memorial, co-created with the Russian Military-Historical Society. So, you're not just paying your respects, but learning about these historical landmarks as well.
To add a personal touch, Ok.ru's traveler-authors will traverse thousands of kilometers, visiting 17 cities across Russia. In these cities, they'll lay live flowers on behalf of all Ok.ru users at these memorials. Their journey concludes with a thematic exhibition at the Moscow Victory Museum.
Until the end of May, Ok.ru will also restore photos at their museum stand using a special device, and they'll live-stream the evening salute held at the Poklonnaya Hill Victory Park.
