RoboDK Academy Launches to Address Global Robotics Skills Gap
RoboDK Academy, a free, self-paced online training platform for industrial robot programming, has launched. The initiative aims to address the global shortage of skilled robot programmers, with robot orders surging in sectors like logistics, healthcare, and Small-to-Medium Enterprises.
RoboDK, the company behind the platform, specializes in industrial robot simulation and offline programming software. The Academy offers courses from beginner to advanced levels, combining video tutorials, step-by-step exercises, and interactive projects, with certificates awarded upon completion.
The platform's design is guided by four core values: practical over theoretical, accessible to all, software-driven learning, and cross-industry transferability. It addresses the gap in accessible, industry-relevant training by offering free, self-paced courses focused on high-demand programming skills. The platform is compatible with RoboDK software's free trial and plans to grow its catalog, expand language support, and partner with institutions worldwide.
RoboDK Academy was made available worldwide in 2020, with the aim of upskilling workers and supporting the transition to automation. Albert Nubiola, RoboDK's CEO, stated that the platform aims to make industrial robot programming skills more accessible, fostering a skilled workforce to meet the increasing demand for robotics in various industries.
