Let the Good Times Roll 🎸🤘

The '62 Super Amp, a nostalgic bore from the swingin' sixties, has made a comeback! Popular guitar gear titan, Fender, has rekindled this ol' charm, bridging a time gap between two distinct eras of Fender amps.

Part of Fender's American Vintage line of guitar amps, this pint-sized powerhouse is a throwback to simpler times, with minimal modern frills. It harks back to the original Super, the first of Fender's iconic brown-panel models that strummed a chord between the raw tones of the '50s tweed amps and the clean sparkle of the mid-'60s black-panel designs.

Fender's vintage-loving audiophiles can expect an "extra toasty, wood-kissed" sound when this reissue gets its strum on. Not only that, but this amp also packs a punch with "velvety overdrive" when you kick it up a notch. Sounds too good to be true? Well, Fender promises "exceptional tone, no matter the volume."

This vintage-styled combo amp boasts two 10" Celestion Custom Design speakers beneath a wMgrille cloth that's showing its age but is still as charming as ever. It pumps out a lively 40 watts at 4 ohms and is powered by six 12AX7 preamp tubes, two 6L6 output tubes, and a single 5AR4 rectifier tube.

Flip the switch to the Normal channel, and you'll find a trio of vintage-style brown radio knobs controlling Volume, Bass, and Treble. The Vibrato channel ups the ante with dials for the Speed and Intensity of the amp's built-in phase-shifting harmonic tremolo effect. There's also a master Presence control.

The Harmonic Tremolo was a bit of a signature move for Fender's brown-panel amps. While not all models got the memo, the '62 Super is ready to rock with this groovy, '60s effect. Unlike traditional tremolo, it modulates the harmonic content of the guitar signal for a more complex and tuneful tremolo effect.

This retro rocker also comes with a footswitch to seamlessly switch between the Normal and Vibrato channels mid- performance. And to add the cherry on top, its housing is constructed from good ol' solid pine, which injects a touch of warmth and resonance into the mix.

Catch the Fender '62 Super amp in stores this September for $2,499.99. Pop on over to Fender for more details! 🌐
