Recognized Winners Excel in 2018's elite Counselor Awards by ASI
The Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) recently held the 2018 Counselor Awards ceremony in Chicago on July 26, 2018, during ASI Show Chicago at McCormick Place. The awards, chosen by the editors of ASI's award-winning Counselor magazine, honour the best and brightest entrepreneurs, small-business leaders, and CEOs in the $23.6 billion promotional products industry.
In the distributor category, 4imprint (asi/197045) took the top spot with a record-setting $608 million in North American promotional products sales, making them the number one distributor. Staples Promotional Products (asi/120601) came in at number two, while HALO Branded Solutions (asi/356000) and Alphabroder (asi/34063) rounded out the top three spots.
In the supplier category, SanMar (asi/84863) was the number one supplier with $1.4 billion in sales. Alphabroder (asi/34063) and Polyconcept North America completed the top three spots on the supplier list.
Several individuals were also recognised for their contributions to the industry. National Pen President and CEO Peter Kelly was selected as International Person of the Year. ETS Express CEO Sharon Eyal was honoured as Person of the Year. Kellie Claudio, senior vice president of sales/marketing at Sweda (asi/90305), was named Supplier Woman of Distinction, and Faride Jarufe, owner of Grupo Fama (asi/215405), was named Distributor Woman of Distinction.
Mitch Mounger, CEO of Sunrise Identity (asi/339206), was named Distributor Entrepreneur of the Year, and Erin Reilly and Sterling Wilson, founder/CEO and founder/president of Pop! Promos (asi/45657), were named Supplier Entrepreneurs of the Year. Jonas Temple, CIO at The Magnet Group (asi/68507), was named Technology Executive of the Year.
Scarborough Specialties (asi/319940) was named Family Business of the Year, but the search results do not provide a specific name of a company founder or founding family who was awarded the prize in 2018.
The winners of the 2018 Counselor Awards represent the industry's top talent and embody the innovation, creativity, and success that the promotional products industry is known for. Congratulations to all the winners!
