Power is delivered to rural areas
In the heart of the city, a significant infrastructure project is underway. The section of Laendgasse, stretching from Apothekergasse to Residenzbogen, is currently closed due to the relocation of power lines. This closure includes both day and night, and it's expected to take some time to complete.
Residents and visitors can still access the closed area via Theaterstraße or Untere Laendgasse. However, drivers are requested to follow the signs during the closure, as alternative routes may be suggested to avoid the disruption. It's important to note that larger vehicles cannot turn around in Laendgasse due to narrow streets, so careful planning is essential when navigating the area.
The authorities responsible for this relocation are the plan approval authority or the competent authority according to state law. They have the power to designate infrastructure areas for grid projects, conduct necessary examinations, and approvals. Transmission system operators (TSOs) and regulatory authorities such as the Bundesnetzagentur in Germany are also involved in the approval and oversight processes related to power grid infrastructure projects.
This work is affecting not only vehicle traffic but also pedestrian and cyclist traffic. Detours for pedestrians and cyclists may be provided to ensure safe passage. While the power line relocation work may cause temporary inconvenience to the public, it is a necessary step towards ensuring the safety and reliability of the city's power supply.
As always, we advise residents and visitors to stay informed and follow the signs and instructions provided during the closure. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to improve our city's infrastructure.
