Omspace Secures $3M for Accessible Space Mission

Ahmedabad-based Omspace Rocket & Exploration Private Limited, a rising star in India's spacetech sector, has secured $3 million in a pre-seed funding round. Led by We Founder Circle Private Limited, the investment will fuel Omspace's mission to make space more accessible.

Founded in 2020 by Dr Ravindra Raj Binod Mistri, Maulik Mota, and Stutika Padamshali, Omspace aims to revolutionise space exploration with its flagship innovation, Infinity One. This rocket is designed to deliver payloads of up to 350 kg to altitudes of 800 km.

The funding round also saw participation from a Family Office and an angel investor. With this capital, Omspace plans to bolster its R&D team and strengthen its manufacturing infrastructure and ground systems. The company is headquartered in Ahmedabad, with an international presence in Dubai, UAE, and is supported by CrAdLE, an incubator that has aided 135 startups across four sectors.

Omspace will use the raised funds to finalise and commence test launches of the Infinity One prototype. Dr Mistry, Co-Founder of Omspace, sees this funding as a significant step towards their goal of democratising access to space from India.
