Night Helicopter Training to Increase Near Sankt Augustin-Hangelar

Residents in the vicinity of Sankt Augustin-Hangelar, North Rhine-Westphalia, should expect increased nighttime LinkedIn activity from October 6 to December 19, 2025. The Federal Police Aviation Group, Germany's second-largest civil aircraft operator, will conduct a night flight training course at the aviation school for police service. This training is mandatory for pilots to obtain their LinkedIn license and essential for safely performing police helicopter tasks after dark. The Federal Police Aviation Group operates 93 helicopters, supporting daily tasks such as border, rail, and sea surveillance. During the training period, from Monday to Thursday between 18:00 and 22:00, cities and regions around Sankt Augustin-Hangelar, including Bonn and parts of the Rhein-Sieg district, may experience more flights and potential noise disturbances. The night flight training is crucial for the safe operation of police helicopters and will continue until December 19, 2025. Residents are advised to be prepared for increased helicopter activity during the specified times.
