Nigerian company NCR experiences a 31% surge in its stock price within a month, reaching N15, following a robust comeback in the first half of the year.

NCR (Nigeria) Plc, a leading technology company offering hardware, software, and services for businesses, has announced impressive financial results for the first half of 2025. These results, released in late July, have sent the company's shares soaring, with a significant price increase seen from August onwards.

The share price of NCR Nigeria Plc pushed past N10.00 in August, closing the month at N11.55. This positive trend continued, with the stock reaching N15 in September, marking a 31% rise. The shares are currently targeting levels above N18, a level last seen in May 2013.

The strong price movements in NCR's shares can be attributed to the company's improved financial figures. NCR Nigeria's revenue in H1 2025 was N899.6 million, an increase from N790.9 million in the same period last year. The cost of sales was reduced by 10% to N737.7 million, leading to a rebound in gross profit to N161.9 million. As a result, pre-tax profit rose to N44.6 million, reversing the N1.4 billion loss recorded in H1 2024.

Administrative expenses were significantly reduced from N1.4 billion to N118.3 million. This reduction, coupled with the increased revenue and lower cost of sales, contributed to the positive bottom line. Total assets for NCR Nigeria increased to N5.3 billion from N4.4 billion. Retained losses narrowed slightly to N4.6 billion compared to N4.7 billion the previous year.

Revenue from contracts with customers for H1 2025 was N899.6 million, supported by other income of N28.7 million. Breaking down the revenue, NCR's World Customer Services generated N614 million, while the Financial Services Group contributed N285.5 million.

It's worth noting that the search results do not provide relevant information about NCR Plc's consolidation in July 2025 or its economic upswing in the following months. However, the positive financial results and the subsequent share price increase suggest a promising future for the company.

The strong performance of NCR Nigeria Plc in H1 2025 is a testament to the company's resilience and adaptability in a challenging economic environment. As the company continues to innovate and grow, investors will be keeping a close eye on its future developments.

Year-to-date, NCR's market volume is 6.6 million shares, reflecting the strong interest in the company from investors. With the shares currently targeting levels above N18, it will be interesting to see how the market responds in the coming months.
