GAC Makes a Mark in Southeast Asia with the Launch of the GACB Sathorn Experience Center

On June 25, 2025, the GACB Sathorn Experience Center and GAC Thailand Battery Service Center were officially opened in Bangkok's vibrant Sathorn district. This grand event marked a significant milestone for GAC, as their first flagship store in Southeast Asia, symbolizing the automaker's commitment to the region's growing electric vehicle (EV) market.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from the Thai government and major Thai media outlets, reflecting the importance of this venture for both GAC and Thailand. Wei Haigang, GAC's President, emphasized that the Thailand Model, which integrates products, intelligent manufacturing, sales channels, services, energy ecosystems, and mobility systems, serves as a key reference and benchmark for expanding across Southeast Asia and global markets.

The GACB Sathorn Experience Center is more than just a showroom. It embodies GAC’s "Sales + Energy Services" dual-track strategy, combining direct vehicle sales with comprehensive energy solutions, including battery services. The GAC Thailand Battery Service Center, located nearby, provides vital battery repair and maintenance service capabilities, integral to the "Energy Services" track.

The center's launch was complemented by the introduction of the upgraded AION UT electric model in Thailand. This model, already a standout in Thailand's EV segment, secured over 4,500 orders at the Bangkok International Motor Show, targeting young urban drivers with advanced technology and design. The strategic establishment of these centers in Thailand supports the country's rapid growth in EV adoption, which saw a nearly 35% increase in new registrations of pure electric passenger vehicles in early 2025, largely driven by Chinese EV brands like GAC.
