New Workshop Teaches Secure Operation of Language Models on Own Hardware
Data scientists and machine learning engineers can now learn to securely operate language models on their own hardware, thanks to a new workshop. The 'Tailored Generative AI' course, led by Dr. Franz-Josef Toelle, teaches participants to meet data protection and compliance requirements while personalising large language models for individual company needs.
The workshop, held in July, is part of the series 'Tailored Generative AI: Integrating Own Data, Operating LLMs Locally, Developing Multi-Agent Systems'. It is led by Georgina Dean, known for her tailored AI training sessions. Participants will develop their own use case for professional practice during the workshop.
Practical exercises include installing and using AI models locally with Ollama and LM Studio. Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) will also be covered for context-based answers. Dr. Toelle, with over 25 years of experience, will guide participants through the process. He has worked in industry and research with deep learning and is a consultant to renowned companies and author of respected publications.
The workshop aims to equip participants with the skills to integrate multi-agent systems into business processes, automating them to increase efficiency. It highlights the importance of customized tools for enterprise data integration, as pre-built models like ChatGPT, Mistral, or Gemini may not be sufficient for enterprise use. Participants will leave with the ability to fully exploit AI potential while ensuring data protection and compliance.
