New MG4 Set to Begin Pre-Sales on August 5
The much-anticipated all-new MG4, the latest model from MG Motor, is set to begin pre-sales on August 5. The British automaker has shared new images of the vehicle, offering a sneak peek into its interior features.
The interior of the all-new MG4 is designed with comfort and convenience in mind. Front seats come with heating and ventilation, while the rear seats recline up to 27 degrees. A heated steering wheel and synthetic leather upholstery add to the premium feel. The rear privacy glass and panoramic sunroof with electric shade enhance the cabin atmosphere, creating a comfortable and relaxing environment for passengers.
The MG4 offers a spacious interior, with 471 liters of luggage capacity with the rear seats up, expandable to 1,362 liters with seats folded. An additional hidden 98-liter compartment provides extra storage space. Folding the rear seats creates up to 1.8 square meters of flat space, enabling a "King Bed mode". There are about 30 storage compartments distributed throughout the cabin.
Modern digital technology is at the heart of the all-new MG4. A 15.6-inch 2.5K floating touchscreen features the MG x Oppo Smart Mobility System. This system offers phone-to-car digital key integration, AI voice commands, app mirroring, and compatibility with Android, Apple, Huawei, and other devices. Wireless, air-cooled device charging is rated up to 50 W. Over-the-air (OTA) updates will add functions like remote parking and continuous navigation between walking and driving.
The cabin exhibits a minimalist, modern style, inspired by premium German cars. It has a symmetrical center console with a floating display and a rectangular full-LCD instrument cluster. The steering wheel has a slightly squared-off design, with chrome-plated physical buttons replacing traditional gearshift controls. An electronic manual shifter and some Alcantara trim and red stitching in higher trims add a touch of luxury.
The all-new MG4 is equipped with advanced driver assistance and safety features. Level 2+ high-speed Navigation on Autopilot (NOA) with adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and others are included.
SAIC Motor, the parent company of MG Motor, has announced that the all-new MG4 will begin pre-sales on August 5. Although no specific information about the exterior details of the all-new MG4 was provided in the shared images, the vehicle's interior details reveal a blend of compact agility with midsize comfort. The MG4 offers ergonomic seating, advanced multimedia systems co-developed with Oppo, spacious practical storage, and premium comfort elements like heated and ventilated seats and steering wheel.
