New Maruti Suzuki SUV Spotted: Grand Vitara FreeStyle or Facelift?
A heavily camouflaged new SUV has been spotted testing, potentially a three-row derivative of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara or a Carvana of the facelifted version. The test mule shares several design elements with the current Grand Vitara, hinting at a possible refresh or derivative.
The new SUV's fascia is similar to the Suzuki e Vitara, featuring a flatter front end and split headlamp design. The rear also shows similarities to the e Vitara, but the presence of a tailpipe confirms it's not an electric vehicle. Powertrains are expected to be similar to the current Grand Vitara, including a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine with manual, automatic, or e-CVT transmission options.
If it's a three-row Grand Vitara, expect a higher price as it will rival news like the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV 700, and MG Hector Plus. The interior might feature a large, floating 9.0-inch infotainment touchscreen. If it's a facelifted Grand Vitara, expect a slight premium over the current model's price of ₹10.99 - 19.93 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The official name of the new SUV tested on our roads is the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara FreeStyle. Its launch and pricing details are yet to be announced, but it's expected to offer a blend of style, comfort, and performance in its segment.
