New AK Rifle Configurations Stir EU, U.S. Interest
A new AK assault rifle configuration is making waves in the EU, and U.S. buyers are taking notice. Polish company WBP has partnered with Ukrainian designer KRUK to create a modern, high-quality mount for the classic AK rifle.
The KRUK mounts are produced by WBP, offering a blend of Polish manufacturing and Ukrainian design. The rifle features a CNC-machined aluminum body, an M-LOK ecosystem, and an adjustable stock tailored for AK shooters. The handguard options range from compact to extended, with solid top-cover variants, ensuring a tight lockup and premium machining.
The stock offers proper length-of-pull adjustment and a spring-loaded comb for height adjustment, accommodating irons, red dots, or optics. WBP is offering factory builds with KRUK furniture and custom ordering options for overseas buyers. Caliber options are in the works, starting with European-available chamberings and planned production expansion.
While U.S. buyers face logistical challenges due to export restrictions and tariffs, solutions are being explored. The KRUK-equipped WBP build feels like a premium AK, maintaining the rifle's identity while incorporating modern features where it matters. The KRUK furniture is designed for easy installation, making it an attractive option for those comfortable with swapping AK furniture.
