A Wild Transformation for the Nano Cortex: Neural DSP's NanOS 2.0.0 Update Unleashes a Staggering Amount of New Features!
Modern equipment should embody our beliefs on what's cutting-edge: Neural DSP enhances the Nano Cortex with a mighty power-up through the complimentary NanOS 2.0.0 system upgrade.
The Nano Cortex, the undisputed "best all-in-one capture device for value, portability and usability" (MusicRadar), has just received a monumental upgrade. Neural DSP has dropped a dramatic expansion of features and functions onto its compact guitar effects pedal and guitar amp capture pedal with the release of NanOS 2.0.0.
Prepare to be blown away by the metamorphosis of this tiny rioting powerhouse. This petite pedalboard titan now boasts a whopping 47 new effects and utilities, more features to help you dial in your sounds quickly and manage them effortlessly, and a whole lot more Neural sounds to spice up your tone.
The digital evolution of electric guitar tones has finally led to days like this, when an operating system update is as groundbreaking as the launch of new hardware. NanOS 2.0.0 breathes new life into the Nano Cortex, bringing a fresh wave of creativity and power.
Inspired by classic MXR, Universal Audio, TC Electronic, and Boss pedals, the Nano Cortex's new effects are just the tip of the iceberg. With two Pre and three Post Effects slots at your disposal, players can now seamlessly control their signal path.
"The Nano Cortex was designed to deliver professional sound in an incredibly compact form, and with NanOS 2.0.0, it's now even more potent, adaptable, and inspiring to play," says Douglas Castro, CEO of Neural DSP. "This update embodies everything modern gear should be: uncompromising in sound, intuitive in design, and ready for any studio, stage, or session."
This update doesn't stop at new effects. There's also a smart onboard input gate that allows you to deploy the noise gate without sacrificing one of your Pre Effects slots. Plus, there's the convenient IR Loader Global Bypass function.
What's more, you can still expect the same unparalleled sound quality from the Nano Cortex—all in a package that still weighs a scant 620g and fits snugly in its gig bag. Neural DSP co-founder Francisco Cresp sums it up perfectly: "As a musician, you never stop evolving. Neither do we. NanOS 2.0.0 is our answer to everything players have asked for and more. This is your tone, your way, with no compromises."
Besides all the new features, you'll still have access to all the familiar ones. While we often refer to the Nano Cortex as an amp modeller, that's a misnomer—it's primarily an amp and effects capture pedal. Adding an overdrive pedal can have you rocking in just five minutes. For amps with speakers, a mic is required. For capturing amps without a speaker, you'll need a reactive load box. But the process is quick and easy, and now Neural has done some of the work for you.
All these new effects and devices have been captured for you—20 guitar amps, eight bass amps, eight guitar cabinets, and two bass cabinets are now preloaded onto the unit. The Nano Cortex has ample memory space to store up to 256 captures.
The Nano Cortex retails for $549/€569, and the NanOS 2.0.0 Update is, as always, absolutely free. Head over to Neural DSP for more details and a complete list of the new effects and captures.
