In the heart of Belarus, a rare prototype from the "E-mobility" series, produced between 2012 and 2013, is up for sale. This unique vehicle, one of the handful manufactured more than a decade ago, is now listed for ₽1.5 million ($15,000).

The Telegram channel "Autoflow" reported the sale of this seldom-seen car, with only five crossovers being assembled during this timeframe. Although the price might seem inconsequential, potential buyers should be aware that they will not be acquiring a fully functional vehicle featuring an original design by Belarusian designer Andrei Trofimchuk, a hybrid powertrain, and a frame-panel body.

Upon inspection, some imperfections were noticed by a Telegram channel correspondent. The interior lacks modern conveniences such as monitors for the instrument cluster, a rearview mirror on the windshield, and a butterfly switch on the steering column, resembling components from a Lada vehicle. The car also lacks a wiper mechanism, which the owner intends to acquire from another vehicle. The headliner exhibits a common issue, requiring glue to fix the sagging.

Previously, our site reported the presence of three unique iron horses with Belarusian roots on the premises of the Minsk City Technopark in Drazhna. However, their whereabouts are now unknown. These prototypes were part of Belarus's early attempts to develop electric mobility solutions, during a period when the country was exploring sustainable urban transportation options.

Despite these attempts, the production of these vehicles was limited, primarily serving as experimental models rather than mass-market products. The unique features incorporated in these prototypes, like electric propulsion systems, aimed to reduce emissions and promote sustainable urban transport. However, technical details or innovations unique to these models remain under-documented in accessible sources.

Recent sales suggest niche interest or collector's value in these early Belarusian electric vehicles. For those who appreciate historical artifacts in the electric vehicle industry, the chance to own a piece of this country's pioneering efforts in sustainable transport could present an appealing proposition.

The exclusive "E-mobility" prototype, now listed for sale, showcases a blend of vintage design and innovative technology, with gadgets such as custom monitors for the instrument cluster and a butterfly switch on the steering column often found in modern cars. However, potential buyers need to recognize that some aspects, like the lack of a wiper mechanism or a rearview mirror, deviate from contemporary lifestyle expectations, reflecting the experimental nature of this vehicle.
