Mobile infrastructure expansion: Telekom constructs signal boosting sites in Neuss's Rhine region for enhanced mobile coverage

In a move to enhance mobile network coverage and capacity, Deutsche Telekom has announced plans to expand its mobile network in the Rhein-Kreis-Neuss district. According to the latest information available, the expansion will involve the addition of 20 new sites, strategically located in key municipalities.

The new infrastructure will be constructed in Dormagen, Grevenbroich (twice), Kaarst, and Neuss (three times). Some of these locations, particularly in Neuss and Grevenbroich, have been chosen to provide coverage along the North Rhine-Westphalia-West railway lines.

Deutsche Funkturm, the mobile network site construction arm of Deutsche Telekom, will oversee the building of these new sites. The company has a proven track record, with more than 35,000 mobile network sites in operation across the country. In the Rhein-Kreis-Neuss district alone, Deutsche Telekom currently operates 169 sites.

To secure necessary areas for new sites, Deutsche Telekom relies on cooperation with municipalities and property owners. Those who wish to rent out an area for a rooftop or mast site can contact Deutsche Funkturm directly through their website, www.dfmg.de/standortangebot.

The increasing demand for bandwidth, which is growing by approximately 30 percent per year, has necessitated this expansion. Currently, household coverage in the Rhein-Kreis-Neuss district stands at almost 100 percent.

Maik Exner, the spokesperson for Deutsche Telekom, has confirmed that progress is being made in mobile network expansion. He encourages those seeking the most current and precise expansion plans to consult Deutsche Telekom's official press releases or contact their regional network department directly.

By 2025, Deutsche Telekom plans to build around 1,500 new mobile network sites annually. This expansion is part of the company's ongoing commitment to providing reliable and high-quality mobile network services to its customers.

With these developments, residents and businesses in the Rhein-Kreis-Neuss district can look forward to improved mobile network coverage and capacity, ensuring seamless connectivity for their everyday needs.

Other technology, such as new mobile network sites, will be introduced in various locations within the Rhein-Kreis-Neuss district, including Dormagen, Grevenbroich, Kaarst, and Neuss. Deutsche Funkturm, the technology division of Deutsche Telekom, will be responsible for the construction of these sites, leveraging their extensive experience managing over 35,000 mobile network sites across the country.
