ChillOut With Michael Giacchino's Exotic Movie Music Mashup

If you're in the mood for some unique, lounge-ready tunes, composer Micheal Giacchino's got you covered. His latest project, Exotic Themes for the Silver Screen - Volume 1, is a dreamy, groovy collection that reimagines some of the most iconic scores from his past work on blockbusters like Star Trek, Lost, and The Incredibles.

Gaacchino took inspiration from legendary exotica artists like Arthur Lyman and Martin Denny to give these beloved themes a Bond-esque makeover. Ever wondered what the Star Trek theme would sound like if it was recorded in 1967? Well, now you can find out!

Just listen to the fun, breezy spin on Giacchino's classic "Enterprising Young Men" from J.J. Abrams' 2009 Star Trek. It'll have you picturing yourself sipping piña coladas by the pool or on the beach with an umbrella in your drink.

"This album was inspired by the work of Arthur Lyman and Martin Denny," Giacchino said in a press release. "It was a way for me to play in that world I loved so much growing up. I thought it would be fun to create a fantasy world, where this album was recorded back in 1967 and then lost, only to resurface today."

The LP and CD release includes tracks from a slew of popular movies such as The Lost World Jurassic Park, Sky High, Ratatouille, Cloverfield, and even Super 8. Check out the album cover along with the full tracklisting below.
