Mercedes-Benz Unveils New CLE Coupé: A Powerful Blend of C-Class & E-Class
Mercedes-Benz is streamlining its range with the introduction of the new CLE, a coupe that combines the C-Class and E-Class models. The CLE Coupé, also known as the 'CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé', is set to launch in Australia mid-2024 after its European debut.
The CLE 53 AMG variant offers customisation options with the AMG Styling and Carbon/Night packages. It boasts a 3.0-litre turbocharged 6-cylinder engine, producing 449 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque, with a temporary boost of 600 Nm available for 12 seconds. Paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and Mercedes-Benz's 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system, it accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 4 seconds, with an optional AMG Driver's Package increasing the top speed to 270 km/h.
Distinguishing features of the AMG version include a wider track, a prominent hood, an aggressive 'Panamericana grille', and different wheel options. The interior showcases a 12.3-inch digital driver display, an 11.9-inch central display, AMG sport seats, and a flat-bottomed AMG Performance steering wheel.
