MENA-based Whale TV Strikes Advertising Partnership with ThePubverse

Whale TV, a global leader in television operating systems, has announced a strategic partnership with ThePubverse, a media monetisation division of ArabyAds. This partnership grants ThePubverse exclusive rights to Whale TV's display and video advertising inventory in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Egypt.

The partnership represents a natural alignment between two companies driving the future of Connected TV (CTV), as stated by Chris Hock, Vice President of Whale TV Ads. This collaboration is set to revolutionise the advertising landscape in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Michael Wang, a seasoned executive with over two decades of experience in media and technology, has been appointed to Whale TV's Board of Directors. Wang joins Whale TV following a 12-year tenure at Netflix.

In addition to this, Whale TV has announced an update to its independent TV OS, Whale OS 10. The new content-first UX design of Whale OS 10 has fewer menu levels, making navigation more intuitive for users. Whale OS 10 also helps consumers explore entertainment in a more personalised way through AI-powered recommendations.

The Whale TV partner group owning Whale OS 10 includes ThePubverse. However, specific details about other partners or which ones have received access to Whale OS 10 in the current quarter are not provided in the available information.

Existing Whale TV partners, which account for 43 million monthly active TVs, will be among the first brands to gain access to the new advertising opportunities. Supported ad formats include Masthead ATF (display and video), in-stream video, and standard display banners.

Brands can now reach millions of households across MENA through this partnership in brand-safe, high-quality, data-driven CTV environments. The partnership offers advertisers the opportunity to execute both awareness and performance-oriented campaigns at scale.

Whale TV licenses its TV operating system to over 400 television brands worldwide. With ThePubverse now positioned as a leading CTV enabler in MENA, it provides access to Whale TV's extensive global network of 44 million monthly active televisions.

The partnership is now live, with inventory and campaign management available through ThePubverse. Whale TV has also announced a Whale TV Profit Sharing program, further solidifying its commitment to its partners.

The GCC countries include Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Kuwait. This partnership is poised to significantly impact the advertising landscape in these countries, offering brands new opportunities to reach and engage with their target audiences.
