This year's Amadeus Austrian Music Awards, held in Vienna's Volkstheater, was a spectacle of lights and music, thanks to the skilled hand of lighting designer and light setting cameraman, Matthias Frank.

Frank, who has been a regular at the awards ceremony for several years, chose a combination of Claypaky spotlights and MA Lighting controls for the event. His arsenal included 12 Claypaky Scenius Spots, 20 Claypaky Alpha Spot HPE 1500, 8 Claypaky Alpha Spots QWO 800, and 12 Claypaky A.leda B-EYE K20.

The Claypaky Scenius Spot, in particular, caught Frank's eye due to its perfect optics, precise color reproduction, full colors, and fantastic output. Frank considers it to be the best spot light on the market in its class.

The system was controlled via two grandMA2 full-size consoles and a grandMA2 fader wing, provided by MA Lighting. This long-awaited grandMA3 system was presented by MA Lighting at Prolight + Sound, a regular exhibitor alongside Claypaky.

The Amadeus Austrian Music Award, presented annually since 2000 by the Austrian association of music business (IFPI), honours Austrian musicians and those based primarily in Austria. This year's ceremony was broadcast by ORF on delay.

Claypaky also showcased their latest innovation, the ZAC-EYE, an automatic tracking system for lighting, at Prolight + Sound. The system, designed to follow moving objects, could potentially revolutionise the way live events are lit in the future.

With the Amadeus Awards, music lovers were treated to a visually stunning event, thanks to the expertise of Matthias Frank and the equipment provided by Claypaky and MA Lighting. The combination of versatile lighting tools and precise control allowed for dynamic stage atmospheres that enhanced the performers and the overall visual experience.
