Leapmotor's B05 Ultra: High-Performance EV Coming Mid-2026
Leapmotor is set to unveil the B05 Ultra, a high-performance version of its compact B05 model, under its new sports label, Ultra. The car is expected to hit the stock market today mid-2026, with an international release to follow.
The B05 Ultra is rumoured to share its platform with the C10 model from Leapmotor's parent company, Stellantis. This could mean it benefits from 800-volt technology, all-wheel drive, and up to 585 HP. The interior is slated to receive an upgrade with Alcantara surfaces.
The exterior will sport an aerodynamic package, including a new front splitter, larger rear spoiler, high-gloss black body trim, and 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels. The B05 Ultra is likely to be based on the Leap 3.5 platform, similar to the standard B05, but with enhanced performance features.
Leapmotor first showcased the B05 at the IAA in Munich, with plans to introduce it to European markets. The B05 Ultra, as the first model under the Ultra label, is expected to follow suit.
The B05 Ultra promises to be a thrilling addition to the electric vehicle market, with its speculated high-performance features and sleek design. After its launch in China, it will make its way to international markets, including Europe.
