Lacoste Appoints Philippe Gautier as New Global Finance Chief
Lacoste, the renowned French fashion brand, has appointed Philippe Gautier as its new executive vice president of global finance. The move comes as Lacoste continues to expand its presence in the fashion world through various collaborations and partnerships.
Gautier brings a wealth of experience to Lacoste, having previously served as group CFO and chief operating officer at Waldencast. He has also held various CFO roles at Kering, including CFO and group treasurer of Redcats. His background in the fashion space is expected to benefit Lacoste's brand identity efforts.
In 2023, Lacoste has been actively growing its market presence in tennis and lifestyle. The brand launched a virtual store offering special perks to Lacoste NFT holders over the summer. It also debuted a casual collection featuring tracksuits and sweatshirts with Netflix in April. Notably, Lacoste announced a 22-piece collaboration with Sporty & Rich in May. These strategic moves, alongside sponsorships of major tennis events and partnerships focusing on lifestyle apparel collections, have helped Lacoste solidify its position in the fashion industry.
Philippe Gautier replaces Denis Lamoureux, who has held the role since 2017 and has been with Maus Frères SA since 2008. Lacoste's parent company, Maus Frères, also owns Gant and the Kooples. With Gautier's appointment, Lacoste continues to strengthen its leadership team, poising the brand for further growth and success in the competitive fashion landscape.
