KLM Welcomes Tenth Airbus A321neo, PH-AXK
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has welcomed its tenth Airbus A321neo, PH-AXK, to its fleet. The aircraft landed at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport on August 21st, 2025, marking a significant milestone for the airline.
The journey of PH-AXK began with its first test flight on September 5th, 2024. After successful trials, it entered service on August 24th, 2025, operating flight KL1583 between Amsterdam and Lisbon. This addition brings KLM's A321neo fleet to a total of 10 aircraft, with plans to expand further.
The first A321neo, PH-AXA, took off on August 27th, 2024, for its delivery flight from Hamburg to Amsterdam. It made its first scheduled flight on September 16th, 2024, between Amsterdam and Copenhagen. By September 14th, 2024, PH-AXA had completed over 55 test flights around Europe. All A321neo aircraft in KLM's fleet are configured for 227 passengers and operate within Europe to/from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. The registrations for the next seven A321neo aircraft have already been filed, indicating KLM's commitment to expanding its fleet.
With the addition of PH-AXK, KLM's Airbus A321neo fleet has reached 10 aircraft. The airline plans to add at least seven more, bringing its total fleet to 115 aircraft.
