Kazakh President Proposes Cybersecurity Council for Turkic States
The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, proposed establishing a Cybersecurity Council within the Organization to combat cyber threats. He also expressed support for the 'Turkic Council of States' format and praised the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) for its role in regional stability.
President Tokayev attended the XII Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, where he proposed the creation of a Cybersecurity Council to coordinate Turkic states' efforts against cyber attacks. He highlighted the importance of this body in mobilizing collective actions to counter this growing threat.
In his speech, Tokayev praised the role of CICA in strengthening security and peace in the Turkic region. He also expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan and other Turkic countries for supporting the transformation of CICA into a full-fledged international organization. The President noted that Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Kazakhstan, as active participants in Turkic cooperation, support the idea of founding the 'Turkic Council of States' format. This initiative has also received endorsements from other world leaders.
