Kadant Acquires Clyde Industries for $175M, Boosting Industrial Processing Portfolio
Kadant Inc. (NYSE: KAI) has acquired Clyde Industries Holdings, Inc. and affiliates for $175 million in cash. The deal, finalized on October 9, 2025, brings together two prominent players in industrial processing and boiler efficiency technologies.
Clyde Industries, established in 1924, specializes in boiler efficiency and cleaning system technologies. The company serves diverse industries such as power generation, pulp and paper, refining, and petrochemical, with a strong focus on environmental friendliness. In the fiscal year ended February 28, 2025, Clyde Industries reported revenues of $92 million. The acquisition was primarily financed through borrowings under Kadant's revolving credit facility.
Kadant Inc., a global supplier of technologies and engineered systems, employs approximately 3,900 people across 22 countries. With this acquisition, Clyde Industries, which has around 400 employees and operates in six countries, will become part of Kadant's Industrial Processing reporting segment.
