Gelsenwasser Energienetze will function as the local network operator, distributing hydrogen to consumers in the regions, while Thyssengas will be responsible for transporting hydrogen to these regions via its hydrogen pipeline network. Christian Creutzburg, CEO of Gelsenwasser Energienetze, emphasized the intention to offer pipeline-bound hydrogen to industrial customers and municipalities.
