Italy has taken a significant step forward in regulating the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within its borders. The Italian parliament has approved a framework law on AI, making Italy the first EU country to have a national legal framework that incorporates new European AI guidelines.

The law, which has been approved with a clear majority, aims to criminalize the dissemination of AI-generated news. So far, only Italy has enacted a national law within the EU specifically targeting this issue, with penalties ranging up to five years in prison for offenders.

The law applies to both businesspeople and individuals who distribute AI-generated photos and videos without the consent of the people shown. Most of the cases involving the spread of fake news using AI in Italy have involved pornographic material, with women as the victims, including celebrities.

The Italian government has been tasked with developing regulations for the use of AI systems. The new law includes general principles and objectives for the use of AI, providing a solid foundation for future regulations.

Meanwhile, in Hamm, a city known for its unique incidents and innovative solutions, a new innovation has been introduced. A network is being developed that secures paramedics in their vehicles, aiming to improve the safety of emergency responders.

Hamm's news landscape is diverse, featuring a mix of relief for clubs, unusual traffic incidents, and innovative solutions. Recently, an unusual traffic jam occurred in the city due to horses. Despite the occasional horse-related incidents, Hamm continues to innovate, with a focus on securing paramedics in vehicles.

The Senate approved the Italian AI law with 77 votes in favour and 55 against. Discussions and regulatory efforts continue at the European level, with other EU countries yet to pass similar specific laws.
