New Senior Portfolio Manager Joins Mirabaud Asset Management

In a strategic move to strengthen its core capabilities, Geneva-based Mirabaud Asset Management has appointed Gurdeep Bumbra as a senior portfolio manager within its global equities franchise. Bumbra will serve as the lead manager for the Global Focus equity strategy, based in London.

With over two decades of experience in international equities, Bumbra brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. Before joining Mirabaud, he was a senior investment manager at Pictet Asset Management, where he focused on international and emerging equities. During his tenure, he also oversaw research for international equities.

Bumbra's appointment is a reflection of Mirabaud's commitment to adding meaningful value for clients, particularly through concentrated, forward-looking strategies. His clear philosophy and proven results have made him an ideal choice for this position.

In his new role, Bumbra will lead a team that includes Paul Middleton, the lead manager of the Global Dividend Fund, and Mohamed Hussein, global equities analyst. This team forms an integral part of Mirabaud's global equities division.

Notably, Bumbra's new role does not involve managing research for international equities, as his previous role at Pictet Asset Management did. Instead, he will focus on directing the Global Focus equity strategy.

This is not the only change at Mirabaud Asset Management. Andrew Lake was recently promoted to the position of CIO, further strengthening the company's leadership team.

Umberto Boccato, who was recently promoted to CEO at Mirabaud Asset Management, expressed his excitement about the new additions to the team. "Gurdeep's extensive experience in international equities and his proven track record make him an excellent addition to our team," he said. "We are confident that he will lead our Global Focus equity strategy to new heights."

With these changes, Mirabaud Asset Management is poised to continue its growth and success in the asset management industry.

  1. Gurdeep Bumbra's appointment at Mirabaud Asset Management signifies the company's emphasis on advanced technology, as he will be directing the Global Focus equity strategy with his extensive knowledge in international equities, aligning with the firm's goal of adding value for clients through innovative finance-driven business strategies.
  2. As Mirabaud Asset Management expands its team with the addition of Gurdeep Bumbra, they aim to leverage new opportunities in the asset management industry, relying on his expertise and the combined skills of his team to maintain their growth and success, backed by the company's commitment to forward-thinking business practices.
