A survey commissioned by NRW.Global Business, conducted online between May 12 and 20, 2025, revealed that business decision-makers from Switzerland, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom view Germany as a popular location for international direct investments. Decision-makers from all three countries name "Artificial Intelligence" and "Sustainability" as central trends for the next five years.
In Switzerland and the United Kingdom, 84% of respondents find the Rhine Region attractive, while in the Netherlands, this figure is 56%. Germany's central location and strong infrastructure make it an attractive destination for international investments, with 74% of Swiss respondents, 72% of UK respondents, and 70% of Dutch respondents finding it "very" or "rather attractive".
