Instillery, a virtual IT firm, launches its Zero Trust policy nationwide in New Zealand, aiming for widespread adoption across the country.

In a significant move, the Virtual IT Group, led by Founder and CEO Christian Pacheco, has announced the formation of a specialist Zero Trust practice. This decision follows the trans-Tasman merger between Virtual IT Group and The Instillery, and is enabled by the integration with New Zealand-based MSP The Instillery.

The new Zero Trust practice is being spearheaded by Instillery Group COO Jeremy Nees across Australia and New Zealand. Key new hires for this practice are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The combined entity, following the merger, is one of the largest managed services and security providers operating in the region. The key reason for the merger with The Instillery, according to Pacheco, was their depth of capability in Zero Trust.

There is a growing need among customers not realizing the full value of their current Zero Trust investments. The collaboration between Virtual IT Group and The Instillery aims to address this issue, as well as the massive unmet need in the Zero Trust space among customers still relying on legacy security architectures.

Eric Swift, Vice President & Managing Director of Zscaler Australia and New Zealand, has expressed his belief that this collaboration is a pivotal moment for Zero Trust adoption in the region. Swift believes that the combined expertise of these MSPs, along with the Zscaler Zero Trust ExchangeTM platform, will empower organisations to modernize their security ecosystems and safeguard critical data without compromise.

The intention is to leverage the Zscaler partnership and add to the team internally. The collaboration between Virtual IT Group and The Instillery is taking place on the Zscaler Zero Trust ExchangeTM platform.

Pacheco has stated that the company intends to take the Zero Trust capability to market immediately. With Nees leading the charge and key new hires on the horizon, the combined entity is poised to make a significant impact in the Zero Trust market across Australia and New Zealand.
